Cam is Greenstand's resident botanist! He worked for 25 years in the rainforests of Borneo studying forest ecology and taxonomy, living 10 years in a small village in West Kalimantan where he helped start a forest restoration project with a local NGO. He currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska and works on the biodiversity informatics of the flora of Alaska. At Greenstand, Cam uses his tropical tree taxonomy experience to help both humans and computers to identify the many species of tree that are being grown by our field partners. Offline, he spends as much time as possible wandering the swamps and hills of interior Alaska.
